  • My understanding after my husband spoke with ex TX Land Commissioner Gary Mauro is that they never experienced any negative effects or "mutations" after 20 years. As a "test" he even used it in his personal 5000 gallon salt water fish tank. It cleaned the oil & left the fish healthy. He did a lot of research, and saw it used on oil spills in the open water & marshes and said it would have a profound cleaning effect on the BP oil spill. It will even help clean the birds.

  • and just so everyone knows soap does not help the situation.

  • @OBIOTech are you the one who removed my comment because i have to admit that is really low really really low.

  • @OBIOTech I am wondering who is the misinformed one. and what sort of degree in biology do you have exactly or are you only a spokesman.

  • @mikalus1 and furthermore is the very real concern that the bacteria would mutate and start attacking all types of petrolium and plastics, not just oil. and most of us use plastic to an extent. many of us even have plastic replacment parts inside our bodies and if you were to get infected with this bacterium after it mutated your plastic parts would effectively be destroyed.

  • @mikalus1 We are not applying ths to the problem in the gulf because the problem is to masive and widespread to do anything with the bacteria would have virtually no effect on the oil spill.

  • Ridiculous that they are not applying this technology wide scale in the Gulf right now. BP needs to pull their heads out and get the leek stopped now or better yet, get out of the business. We have the technology and can thrive without fossil fuels!

  • Thank you, I shared this to my Facebook and Twitter pages. The oil companies really have a nerve, they have to play favorites even if people and the environment get injured. Thats what the problem is you know, you're probably not related to them, even at that you'd have to be in bed with them!

  • (Love you, Austin!!)

  • @jbtutt13

Thank you! Now if we can only get them to stop passing the blame and demanding money. If only BP and the Obama Administation would look harder! THERE ARE SOLUTIONS out here! Louisiana, Alabama, Mississippi and Florida need to start DEMANDING it!
