Muslims are encouraged to pray for Imam Mahdi (AS) during his absence (occultation). There are a number of supplications pleading to Allah to hasten the return and rise of Imam al-Mahdi (AS).

This plea is for an end to oppression, and for justice. But it is also a deep yearning to be in the company of our Imam (AS). And is ultimately an expression of profound love for Allah, for our Prophet (peace and blessings upon him) and for the Ahlul-Bayt (AS).

Dua Ahad is one of the more well known, and frequently recited supplications. According to hadith attributed to Imam Jafer Sadiq (AS) it should be recited for forty days consecutively, and with Allah's grace one may be one of the helpers of the 12th Imam (AS).

Umm Salma narrates that she heard the Prophet say: "The promised Mahdi will be among my progeny, among the descendants of Fatima." (Abu Dawud, Sahih, Vol. 2, p. 207; Ibn Majah, Sahih, Vol. 2, p. 519)

It is reported from Abu Hurayra that the Prophet said: "What will be your reaction when the son of Mary descends and your Imam is among yourselves?" (Sahih muslim, bab nuzul 'isa, volume 2; Sahih bukhari, kitab bad' al-khalq wa nuzul 'isa, volume 4)

@AhlulBaytfan12 if this dua is recited for forty day (preferably) before sunrise but can be read any time of the day that person if inshallah is alive when Imam Mehdi's zahoor arrives he will fight along side the Imam and if the person dies before that when imam comes he will be brought alive from the grave and fight with the imam
