I'd make it look like the pens were dressed in a little tiny suit and tie or a little tuxedo or even a little sports uniform. It's manly because they're dressed like men but still sort of emasculating because it's tiny and cute like the pansy men who would buy into that sort of product.

Yeah well welcome to the world of marketing. You have to sell to each demographic individually. I bet this whole pen situation got started in the first place because they noticed that they weren't selling enough pens to women (likely because we don't lose them as often) so they thought the'd make a pen to draw women's attention. I think you'll find that people who truly desire money aren't trying to insult their demographic intentionally. They just want profit.
