For my senior design project to get a BS in Electrical Engineering at UT, Eric Uthoff and I created a voice-controlled toy car. It turned out pretty good considering we had about 12 weeks to do the project. We had a few problems though on demo day because it was so noisy.

  • Hey Bro.. can u plss tell me how to do the whole thing because im actually also doing the same project.plss reply..it would be a great help. appreciate ur video :)

  • @Aronitus hey BRO. Any specific questions about our implementation that I have not already provided? Or did you not read any of it?

I'm willing to help you ONLY if you show you are willing to put forth some effort. Otherwise, my advice is to change careers now because you are not suited to be an engineer.

  • have you found a way to filter out or eliminate this noise??

  • @TheAlveral Yeah we just used a simple digital passband filter. It worked but not great. As shown in the video, it still had trouble in very noisy environments, but that is to be expected.

  • @dbohls in this year, our senior project is the same as this one. for speech recognition and RF communication, we have found some ways but our butget is limited at very low cost and thus we cannot do many things that we want.. could you give some tips to us about decreasing cost? I guess you know some ways..for all of things, thank you by the way.

  • @TheAlveral We only had to purchase the toy car and a rechargeable battery. We only spent a total of about $20-30 USD. All other software and hardware, including the DSP kit, was available through and borrowed from the university.

  • lol i got toy car that can control with ur voice from a headphone! :)

  • We used LabVIEW and Matlab for prototyping VR. Then we rewrote in C code and used Code Composer Studio for the DSP kit. Code Composer Studio is a buggy piece of crap compiler.
