Since in Greece there are no high rise buildings except 4-5 in Athens, like Athens tower, Apollon tower and President Hotel and a couple more, i thought that would be a good idea to walk down the stairwell of the Corinthia Towers Hotel in Prague and see how much time am gonna need at least for a real evacuation . It took me 6 minutes to walk down 26 floors with no people, so i double it and i say 12 minutes with moderate traffic. Now i understand why the evacuation lasts at least an hour in high rise buildings with many people like WTC

  • Those are okay stairwells. They're very clean and have no obstructions. Try going to the Westin Peachtree Plaza Hotel in Atlanta, which is 72 floors tall! I've personally gone through the emergency stairs at the 52-floor Marriott Marquis.
