the Decemberists - an interlude - (9 of 17)

Possibly my favorite bit of music (0:22-28) on the whole fantastic album.

Saw them Friday night. absolutely amazing.

some people don't like that segue-transition effect that is used mostly on concept albums but i love it, it makes if feel like on long song

gives em time to get the drums out when playing it live

actually yeah I just saw them live yesterday and the interludes help lol

dude seriously stuff a dick down your throat and choke on it, people want to enjoy these songs, not read over and over again how you hate this album because it's "gay" or "corporate sounding" or whatever excuse you wanna make up for this

Hey. I've been a fan of The Decemberists for some time now, and that means I've loved their old stuff.

But I bought this album and listened to it the whole way through, and then I listened to it again. It may not sound like their older stuff, but that just means one thing: they aren't getting stale, they're trying out new things, and it's hella good.

So, sure, if you like their older stuff, ok. Just don't make up other people's minds for them.
