Can you grow Jungle Val in sand? I planted some but it stayed small and it has been a month. I thought it might be cause of the sand. i use playsand in my tank. My amazon swords are growing great in it.

This isn't playsand, it's special rounded shaped river sand. But i don't think that should made a difference. My jungle vals grow absolutly awesome in this sand. Absolutly no problem! I don't use any fertilzers or CO2. Just much light and the german tapwater with a great quality.

nice tank i have a 550 liter tank but it doesn't look as good as that I have a marble antenna catfish its really nice you could have one in that tank if you wanted

your tank is amazing because it provides so many natural physical locations for the fish to explore: there are dark hiding places, deep grass, cave-like darknesses, overhanging fauna .. depth and feel and color to the entire habitat.  just frigging lovely for the fish! as it should be.

you have succeeded not only in meeting the challenge to provide a humane haven for their incarcerated life .. but also in recreating a beautiful living image for us out of pieces of the real world. Kudos.
