Char d'Assaut Schneider. Le premier char d'assaut de la France. Conçu par Eugène Brillé de Schneider Company en collaboration avec colonel Jean-Baptiste Eugène Estienne. Basé sur un tracteur de Holt. C'est la première bataille était à Berry-au-Bac, 14 avril 1917. Il a pesé 12 tonnes de ¼, a eu un équipage de six et a eu une vitesse supérieure de 6 km/h. La proue est pour couper par le barbelé, elle a été armée avec des 75mm Blockhaus Schneider et deux mitrailleuses de 7.92mm Hotchkiss. L'armure était approximativement 11mm épais, et elle a eu une mauvaise habitude de l'explosion en flammes parce que les réservoirs de carburant étaient vulnérables. 400 ont été construits, au total. http://www.flickr.com/photos/7700258@N05/

The short clip of the Schneider rolling down the road in front of the column of marching troops was very eye opening as to the road speed of the tank. Good find, thanks for sharing.

Is This a ww1 one tank?and if it was,did it ever see combat?

Yes it is a WW1 tank and it saw action in that war. It was not very good, but then neither were most of the other tanks in WW1.

@kmkrans The first French tank design to see action. Unable to cross the trenches or handle any terrain that basically wasn't flat. The French went back to their drawing boards and produced the excellent Renault FT tank.
