Teachers are not living high on the hog, there are things teachers must do to avoid an already negative public image. First, make learning fun, teachers cannot have fun teaching when the society makes more restrictions each day on how they're going to short them to pay for war. Simple, invest in a fun and safe school and community and it will all com back to pay gracious dividends. Hope for our children, Congress has to take our future seriously, children are our future votes speak louder.

Time to end public employees unions that are robbing the taxes payers. Prop 30 is not about the children, it is about pensions for teachers, firefighters etc

Teachers shill for this cause, but they are lemmings who don't think big picture. YES--30 (theoretically) MAY be good for those in education. MAY. But the FACT is that it IS NOT good for CA citizens! Taxes are theft--bottom line. We don't need to give OUR hard-earned money, to someone (i.e. gov't of CA) who has shown to be totally irresponsible with our dough!

If not passed, there will be no extra funds - $ could not be used for 'something else'.

The most important point is, SPLITING THE YES VOTE WILL CAUSE BOTH TO FAIL - the anti-tax, pitch fork and torches, mob will vote no on both. I voted yes on both on my absentee ballet mailed a few days ago.

Vote NO. One of the biggest things I have against them is the continuing of the status quo. This money should be used to employ those people in education who've SACRIFICED all this time--that is, the new & laid-off teachers! NONE of this should go to current teachers who've lived high on the hog throughout, CLAIMING how much they've sacrificed. They sacrificed all right--most agreed to take vacation days (i.e. "furloughs"). What a sacrifice!
