how are you doing now? my story is literally exactly as yours is. no one understands. I lost my job, my husband is trying to push me out the door, everyone thinks I'm just being lazy.
Thank you for posting this video ive been suffering for nearly ten years now, and its hard to make people understand i agree, its worser when a family member you love is il and you cant see them, my nan has recently got very poorly and my brother asked me yesterday if i wanted to go and see her he doesnt understand and never has it makes me very sad, i can go outside but its very rare normally only at night under the cover of darkness and if my nerves are ok and only about once a week if im lucky
Exactly!! thank you! I understand it. . . Im feeling the same way, been thinking of making my own video as well. We need more information and resources available. If it was that easy to 'get over' i sure as heck would have done it by now. I can barely make it to my drs appointments. Im scared for my future...
I'm a nursing student and I'm in my Psych rotation now. I will graduate this semester. Thank you for posting your video. I think it will help me to advocate for my patients and understand them better. You made me understand Agoraphobia from the patient's point of view. No books can describe it the way you did. I hope I can come back here one day and find out you are better. Hang on.
You're not alone! Same here.. I'm house bound for 2 years, and don't go anywhere. I aswell missed out alot and can't do the things others do :( I'm on meds now and therapy, but it's a loong way.. Hang in tight!!! It is a little relieve to talk about it to a doctor and feeling understood. Hope you get through and lots of courage and strength to you!
I am a 19 year old male, and this past week I just realized that this phobia describes me perfectly. I didn't know what it was, and I thought I was the only one with these problems. The first week of having it I couldn't even go to school, or ride the bus. I felt so shitty it's indescribable. It's gotten better though, now I just avoid longer journeys and prolonged visitations outdoors, but I hope to take the next step soon. Hope it all works out for you, neither of us are alone.
I have this too, I get what you mean by waiting to die, it's like everyday I just wish I was dead no one seems to understand what were going through I cant even have the curtains open & if they're open in a room I wont go in
@Swackers90 Do you have any anxiety disorder? Social anxiety, o.c.d., ptsd....? I have done some research, i'm still new to this. But the main thing I have found is it's a fear of having an panic attack. Add some support groups on facebook, people are full of info on there. Also check out preventyourpanic
i think i might have this, my brother always tries to get me to go out and i literally cry, he doesn't understand!!. i'v been house bound for 4years, i nearly dropped out of high school!!!!. i'm male, 21. i have to see a doctor about this in April and i'm stressing bad!!. the past 4 years i should of been out having fun like every other kid. life is unfair :(
