Truly depressing to see how the ruling elite ignore the the interests of the people that apparently elected them so that they, the politicians, can benefit themselves. I'm surprised that a "Ukrainian Spring" hasn't happened yet. I don't think they could be worse off if it did happen.

@PADRAEG there is no real democracy in russia, and thank god, because if people vote for anyone except putin, the country will go to shit, there are not real opposition parties, KPRF and LDPR and both parties which are a joke, something of a stupid laughable joke.

Why is Ukrainian parliament so much more newsworthy than Russian? Well, it is more comical, but REALLY, because the votes count for something, unlike in Russia, where it is completely orchestrated by Putin for his self interest, and his KGB buddies!
