This PSA was broadcasted in 1992 with limited national distribution.
This project was presented to and endorsed [but not funded] by the San Francisco AIDS Foundation, AMFAR, Aid Atlanta.
I developed this PSA after reading the New England Journal Medicine for a year [and every article published on HIV].
This piece has four major themes:
1) Anyone can get the virus.
2) Women are primarily receipients of and not generally transmitters of the virus.
3) You can't trust anyone to tell you if they have the virus.
4) If you get the virus, you will [eventaully] die.
The purpose of this project is to decrease the spread of AIDS/HIV.
This project was the least enjoyable one I ever work on, because of the politics.

Thanks for your comments. I was trying to communicate that you can't tell who has HIV by just looking at the person.
It's a metaphor, but thanks for your comment.

HIV/AIDS doesn't have a mullet or body parts--it's a retrovirus that kills by destroying your immune system. But you're right--HIV/AIDS will NEVER be considered cool! Who wants a mass murderer sitting next to them at the lunch tables? That's what HIV/AIDS is!
