"It wasn't meant to be..let the past be bygones, huh?"

*Hundreds of Chinese demonstrated in front of French supermarket chain Carrefour and called for a boycott of French goods against the pro-Tibet protesters that brought on the chaotic Olympic torch relay in Paris. To smoothen relations with China, French President Nicolas Sarkozy dispatched his top diplomatic adviser to Beijing. President Sarkozy sent a letter to Jin Jing, condemning the attack and praising her courage. Jin Jing, who uses a wheelchair, is one of the athletes chosen to carry the Olympic torch and struggled against a protester trying to tug the torch from her. President Sarkozy insisted that the attack did not represent the French citizens feelings toward the Chinese people.

  • Sarkozy the guy is so stupid. I love Chirac though, a wise politician that benefited France by maintaining friendship with China.

  • I'm pretty sure the US government are eager to see a cold war btw China and France. BUT, the brainless Sarkozy seems unaware of that.

  • PEACE!

  • Just shut the fuck up 77777XYZ,the member of US Cent army(1美分党)

  • Yes that's true, but I doubt that there is any real freedom if there is only one leading party at the top. China has changed alot within a few decades and will continue to change, but it all depends on the chinese people. If they want the same rights as in the west they will have to fight for it. I doubt that you can say this without being jailed: I don't like the ccp and its leader hu jintao, I want democracy, or communism is dead!!

  • @etphonehome2915 you may be right but i can tell you this no chinese wants another cultural revolution. also its more democratic then you think. in local villages they elections and the leader of china is elected (even through not by the people directly). the chinese leader is elected by "congress" which has throusands of people. who are choicen because of their ablitiys. the best part is if one of them fcks up that person will be removed from office. so in someway it has check and balance.

  • it is still a dictatorship no matter what. One day it will fall and that is also a fact. But the chinese people needs to know what it wants - then things will change. I bet most chinese people want to choose their own government.

  • @etphonehome2915 hmm even through the chinese government has censorship its main targets are for riots control, anti governemnt protest and porno. The china right now has the largest internet user with that said the chinese governemnt doesn't have a total control. a small jasmine demostration was called because of the middle east protest but only around 1k of people were believe to have show up. not alot in term of chinese protesters.

  • @MrStaxxy look up Mongol invasions of Georgia and Armenia

  • Carrefour. It leaves Korea and enters China.

  • @etphonehome2915 Why would they censor that stuff? you['re an idiot. Where did you get that info? And it's highly unpractical to censor something that has nothing to do with them.
