I prefer this pedal as a solo boost to add some volume and a bit of crunch. Not bad for the money. The Transparent OD is even better, though.

I think the CO-1 sounds best w/ humbuckers.... kinda shrill w/ single coils / p90's

I have this great pedal. Its sounds so fat and crunchy. Having this one, you don't need any other overdrive. It's perfect.

for those of you owning a tube amp with perhaps not a lot of gain. buy this! 25 bucks on ebay new. i run this through the front of my jtm45 and with out a dought this thing will push your tubes into meltdown.
