This is a video of the "finished" product for my final year project while studying Computer Science at Exeter University. This footage is from the build dated June 2010. This footage was captured using a SD Capture Card (Video Mate C100) and the game was tested on a 19" HDTV. This has resulted in the quality of the video.
The game was created in C# utilising the XNA Framework for the Xbox 360 entertainment console. The game included a single room with a drop in-drop out minigame structure, with Blackjack implemented. The casino also included autonomous players that roamed the environment and provided feedback. They calculated their routes using the A* algorithm and the environment was mapped out as a two dimensional grid. The game also included network play with packet smoothing implemented.
Work on this project has continued and my progress can be found on twitter (www.twitter.com/DSKGames) and on my game development blog (dskgames.blogspot.com). More information on this project as a final year project can be found on my website (www.davidskendall.co.uk/thirdyearproject)
