@Endlisnis scoves9484 is an idiot. i was there too and was no more than 25 feet away from the front of the stage and the cops/paramedics were there seconds after it came down. they were telling us to get back (like you said) and IMO we would have probably have just gotten in the way. i bet scoves would have been the first one to run away with sh*t running down his leg.

@scoves9484 Yo back off dude endlisnis is right do you really think it would have made it any better for him to jump up there? Obviously staff and security had a handle on the situation

In soviet Russia you fall on stage

In soviet Russia stage falls on you.
@scoves9484 #1) My phone is not stupid
#2) This video was not recorded using a phone.
#3) There was a fence physically blocking the crowd from getting to the stage area.
#4) Security was instructing the crowd to stay back (in case more parts collapsed)
#5) The event security was handling the situation. The last thing they needed was untrained people from the crowd rushing into the collapsed structure and injuring themselves.

Although you don't see the actual collapse in this one, I find it to be the video on YouTube right now with the most telling details of how it must have felt for the people in attendance. In situations like this, you often only realize what has happened after the fact, and this video shows wind, the stuff flying through the air, the calm but confused atmosphere, etc. Great vid! Thanks for posting!
