You may find that the default page layout settings in Word are not sufficient for the document you wish to create, in which case you will want to modify those settings. In addition, you may want to change the page formatting depending on the document you are creating. In this lesson, you will learn how to change the page orientation, paper size, and page margins, and insert a break.

  • how do you get your page layout to save? What i mean is, under margins, mine is set on normal, and i change to "narrow" cause i prefer it, but it doesnt save, and every time i open word i have to click narrow. Thanks

  • Hi! I found this under the Word 2007 help menu: To change the default margins, click Margins after you select a new margin, and then click Custom Margins. In the Page Setup dialog box, click the Default button, and then click Yes. The new default settings are saved in the template on which the document is based. Each new document based on that template automatically uses the new margin settings

  • I got this question: How do I change the case from capital to small letters?

    Thanks in advance¡

  • hey I was looking for exactly this. I'm doing my resume but wanted something more creative than the standard one page filled with stuff so achieving interesting layouts with this break stuff should be enough. Thanks!
