Can someone answer this for me? I watched this when it was on in the 1970's. This happened often, say Gene congratulated a contestant, sent him/her offstage to applause, the turntable turns to meet 2 new contestants. Gene: "Lets say hello to Mary Contrary and Peter Pointer". There is applause, the camera pans to the panelists who are all saying hi to the new people, except for Charles, who was often found looking left, offstage. What was he looking at? And wasn't that considered rude?
