the telecommunications act of 96 gave clear channel and a couple select few total control of the airwaves. and the program directors are connected to the record labels via cats called independent promoters. that's why u c and hear the SAME artists in rotation 24/7. djs used to have a mandatory playlist but could also mix in their own selections. not after 96. now it's total mandatory playlist. these cats can't even get deal if they ain't thugged out. this thing is much bigger than them/us.

I feel like Hip-Hop is dead. There r many great artist today but when these good rappers retire........a new young generation will take over and they don't know what Hip-Hop is about!
