great parade, How long ago did this parade start? Was there a cause or purpose behind it? That looked like so much fun. I wonder what the original Pirates would think about this? LOL....thank you again for something I have never seen before.........much love........donna

@rockyroad7771951 do you mean how long has this been celebrated? if so, this parade dates back to the 20'-30's if i am not mistaken, it is the Lore of the City of tampa that is celebrated here. it really is a crazy time, it gets bigger every year.
