  • I got recomended cherry mx red and brown for both fps gaming and typing. Is this true?:D

  • @zelly2k9 Reds and browns are both excellent switches, but for FPS you might want to look at blacks. Any switch that has a different actuation point from the bottomed out point (blue, red, brown) feels weird when you play FPS games.. though I've gotten used to it.

    These are blues btw.

  • Oh gawd your typing is like watching a guy with one leg win the 100m in the olympics.

  • @therealdaviddavidson hey at least i won...... right?

  • I hit the spacebar with my right index aswell. Now we can be retarded together.

  • yea i hit my spacebar with my right index also, in fact i type almost exactly like that haha

  • @TCPG77 This makes it harder to double tap on blues, because for the key to respond properly, user has to release the key completely.

But browns' actuation and release points are closer, much closer than they work fine for games, and zowie uses them in its gaming keyboards.

  • @VideoWolfe 95% of people buy this keyboard for the clicking xD

  • @TCPG77 I'm typing on reds right now and while the actuation point is higher than the bottomed out point, you don't feel it because it has no tactile feel. So I'd say they're as good for gaming as blacks. Go with blacks if you hit wrong keys often and you want stiffer (requiring more force) switches. Go with reds if you want less activation force. I prefer reds for gaming. I agree that blues and browns might feel a bit awkward in games due to the tactile feel.

  • @TCPG77 wouldnt that make typing bad?:P

  • @SpawnMoarOVERLORDZ and this is?

  • @zelly2k9 destiny uses blue. nuff said
