The first revenues from the Nam Theun 2 hydropower project in Laos have started to flow into the country, with money being spent on education, health, rural roads and electrification, and environmental programs.
Resettled villagers greatly appreciate their new surroundings with the majority (close to 90 percent) reporting they are now "much better off."
If Lao govt do the hydroelectric project to help all lao people like this. i hop one day Laos can get out the poorest problem.

How come you never mentioned the problem people live downstreams faced??? I counted 12 villages. They all have problem with drinking water ever since Nam Theun 2 constructed.
