I just picked this plane up from a bud and am reading that its easy to modify landing gear onto it with the parkzone corsair model and a fixed tail wheel. Fortunate for me, the guy I picked the plane up from had already modified the rudder to make it a 4 channel. I ordered the gear and it should be in next week..if you respond back, ill try to upload a video of the wheel mod.

Fly high and slow it down. Don't get crazy at first. Make sure ur plane is balanced pitch and (roll meaning wing tip to wing tip). Unbalanced plane is a big killer of rc plane. Doesn't matter how good u are; the plane will be hard to control. Do preflight inspection and make sure ur trims are at 0 and surface controls are flushed against wings and stabilizer. If u do this the launch will be great so if u crash it will be flying to low or flying at insane speeds. Slow it down. Feel ur plane

@raf4jack NO this is not recommended to beginners, what plane do you have now?

This plane it's just awesome, i have one and i installed a T-28 landing gear; It works great on taking off and landing; it was my second plane, the first one was a Super Cub :)..

@bonsairick Actually, it is pre-hinged if you follow the instructions. You are supposed to cut just the blocks that stop the rudder from moving; the rest of the foam between the rudder and vertical fin then act as a hinge. Personally, I don't trust the sturdiness of this way, so I prefer to do what you describe: cut the rudder completely free and add real hinges. A middle ground is to follow the instructions, then cut slots at the top and bottom and insert hinges into the slots.

I have rebuilt this plane numerous times (LOVE this plane, so I've flown it and wrecked it a LOT) - unless they've changed the fuse very recently, the rudder is not prehinged, it needs to be cut, four small areas need to be shaved off, sanded and painted, then hinged. Basic building skills are plenty adequate. It's worth the servo and extra work. It DOES come with the pushrod and necessary hardware to make the rudder functional (other than the servo). Programming exponential for the control sur

would this be a good plane to move up to from the Supercub?
is this good for beginers (is electric harder to fly than petrol planes because i have a petrol one) ?
raf4jack 1 year ago
@raf4jack Electric flies about the same as the nitro versions, but without all the hassles of gas. This is not a beginner plane, but if you can fly a nitro (petrol) plane, then you'll be able to fly this one relatively easy. Keep in mind that the Mustang is very touchy on the controls, and very fast, as you can see in the video.

I thinked about to buy that one. until i notice that it hadnt landing gear. and it wasnt 4 channel.

@ScaniaNicke It is 4 channel ready. All you have to do is add the rudder servo to the pre-hinged rudder, & that's it - Instant 4 channels. As for landing gear, this plane would probably be too heavy with any type of landing gear system installed.

evanator211 1 year ago
@evanator211 Flight times can vary from 10 minutes at full tilt, to as much as 18 minutes (depending on battery size) per flight. You can get them right here in our store. The website is in our channel descriptions Thanks for stopping by.
