440 A is an ISO standard. Its not just in music. USA phone dial tones are tuned to 440 MHz A.
not all eras used 440. Some were lower, and some used mean tone or other tuning systems close to our current one.

yeah if your talking about the fifth string going up. the A string

It's 110,
5th fret, 1st string is 440Hz.
1st string, 17th fret is 880Hz.
3rd string , 2nd fret is 220Hz.
These are all A's.
This lesson sounds concise but the video taking is abysmal.

So is the A 440 the same as the 5th string open on the guitar?
