Smokie - Have you ever seen the rain 1996

Released 1978
Original by Creedence Clearwater Revival 1971

Someone told me long ago
There's a calm before the storm
I know - It's been coming for some time
When it's over so they say
It'll rain a sunny day
I know shining down like water

I want to know
have you ever seen the rain
I want to know
Have you ever seen the rain
comin' down on a sunny day

Yesterday and days before
sun is cold and rain is hard
I know - been that way for all my time
'till forever on it goes
Through the circle fast and slow
I know - and it can't stop I wonder

I want to know
have you ever seen the rain
I want to know
Have you ever seen the rain
comin' down on a sunny day

someone told me long ago
There's a calm before the storm
I know - it's been coming for some time
When it's over so they say
It'll rain a sunny day
I know - shining down like water
shining down like water

I want to know
have you ever seen the rain
I want to know
Have you ever seen the rain
comin' down on a sunny day

  • The rain coming down on a sunny day is Al Barton.

  • kiedy potrzebuje energii do życia to słucham Smokie

  • I think they did a fine rendition of the song. Of course it's not going to be the same as CCR, but it's not bad. I like certain parts of it. The guy do the lead vocals is gorgeous. Who is he? What happened to Chris Norman?

  • I want John Fogerty!

  • Thats Not Chris Norman -.-'.. But Yes.. CCR is better, but Still they do sing this very well.

  • @kubek360 Off Course, Chris Norman can't hold that. But John Fogerty can.

  • @MrSidoc1 moje taki

  • @baz20881 The drummer Pete and Alan and Terry, they are all here, only Chris is missing and it's really a pity!
