*STEREO*. Fleetwood Mac play "Without You". The most perfect of perfect songs - hauntingly beautiful, drifting, hypnotic. One of my absolute favourites, and Fleetwood Mac at their best. Recorded at CBS Studio, London on 6th October 1968. Written by guitarist Danny Kirwan.

  • Beautiful, calm, perfectly fitting my mood, dreamy, bringing me up in deep space and making me stop caring about everyday problems. Also reminding me I just broke up, but that's another question.....

Beautiful song. So very beautiful. Impressively damn beautiful.

  • this 18 year old knows how to take us into his world , and what a wonderful world it is, of comfort and warmth, and love. kirwan is our soul mate .

  • @kakilong i love all styles of fleetwood mac, they moved from blues to pop to suit the times and the people that were invloved in the band i was fortunate to see them 2 years ago in sheffield and they were amazing, just because their music style has changed doesn't make fleetwood mac less credible they are still a hugely influetntial band of any time. i just appreciate both sides of their musical journey from blues to the pop, definitely prefer the blues but understand why they went to the pop.

  • @SirBasildeSurf,

Found the live version at last. I will upload it later...

  • . i first heard this when i bought '' english rose ' at age 15 or so & listened to it over &over - it still holds up today it is timeless [ that is how you know a song is a classic] . it is described as beautiful, hypnotic &haunting & it truly is . it' s a shame that they disbanded largely due to mental illness brought on reportably from some bad acid slipped to peter &danny. what followed was a pop band which dosen't deserve to be called fleetwood mac

  • @MsOndine - Peter did say he probably would have stayed in the band if Mick had gone along with it. He always comes across as very honest in his interviews. I suppose it was inevitable they would split for various reasons.

  • @MusicalTree3,

By the way, quite a revealing interview. Mick Fleetwood always claimed that all the other members - apart from J. McVie in the beginning - were against donating a big share of their income to Biafra. But Peter claims they were ALL on his side except M. Fleetwood. If this is true you can say Mick drove Peter away... Somehow I believe Green more than Fleetwood;)

  • @MusicalTree3,

    Ah, you're wonderful:)

  • @MsOndine - The interview is called ...'Green God Breaks His Silence' (Guitar player, Nov '94).
