I don't understand. any other player in the NHL would have been allowed to fight, but they just decide to break it up so that Zidlicky cant throw a punch

Crosby is amazing. The kid has had 4 fights and put a beating on some tough people, he's split two people open and bloodied them out of 4.

He doesn't talk it up and brag. He just goes out to win.

Also, Crosby is NOT dirty, he just doesn't take BS and he is tough.

Ovie by comparison is dirty, sticks his knee out, slew foots, has been SUSPENDED. Charges at everyone (illegal) and has NEVER backed it up by fighting. Yea, love that. Run around take cheap shots but dont fight.

Crosby has 7 fights actually, and he's won 5 of them, the other 2 were close fights but Sid took the worst but was never knocked down. Ovi got owned in his 2 fights against weaker dudes, Sid fights Defensemen, Ovi fights midgets and loses

@xobaileybooxo You in particular may not say that either of them is, but I was originally posting in response to someone who bragged up how tough Crosby is and called Ovechkin a pussy.

@xobaileybooxo Richards has a reputation at least for being a gutsy, gritty player. Also I'm not arguing the pointlessness of Crosby or Ovechkin fighting. I'm just saying that it's a pretty bad argument to say how Crosby is such a tough player, and is so gutsy for fighting, despite having only fought tiny guys and only having 4 fights.

@kdfsjljklgjfg Crosby also doesn't care for fighting. he is a play maker not an enforcer. he gets paid alot of money to stay out of the box. as does Ovie. so to me if either one of them is in the box for fighting they aren't doing their jobs. back in they day this wouldn't even matter. Crosby and Ovie (6'2) are star players and in old hockey would have people to make sure no one "tugs on supermans cape" as people say now. Dubinsky and Richards are both smaller then Ovie Richards is 5'11

@xobaileybooxo So is Zidlicky. And Ballard. And Ference. Niskanen is 1 inch taller. They're not all bigger than him. My point was anyway that you can't say Ovechkin is a wuss who doesn't when Crosby only has 4 fights against small people and Ovechkin has at least had 3 fights, and fought Mike Richards
