@Kuti210 it was.. but the servers shut down a year after it started. Now it will be re-released with loads of new content and features. Closed beta is over... open will start soon I think :)

It was a pretty good concept they had going, but they never got to develop it to full potential.

I play this game and it's AWESOME, NO OTHER MMO Even the 100% Pay to Play ones have captured the first person action possible for such a franchise! The only problem is the ignore system is cumbersom and there are alot of gold spammers.

@TheOneUK ... or you simply download the 2011 version called Hellgate Global (with new Tokyo update) for free. The version you can buy is singleplayer-only because servers shut down.
