  • The Highlanders are RUNNING back with the Indians (and they dont have on their regimental jackets)..........after raiding the French trench lines...............if you cant see White guys in kilts with long hair running alongside the Indians you need stronger glasses...........better yet.........freeze the frames...........and you'll see them. And in reality.............the 42nd Black Watch wasnt stationed at Fort William Henry

  • I don't know why they cut this segment from the original theatrical version. It's one of the best in the movie.

  • @RockandRoller2009 They weren't necessarily supposed to be the Black Watch, or even regulars for that matter. Scottish immigrants were comming to America since the 1600's and since the British crown outlawed tartans and weapons in the highlands, they would have had good reason to be sporting them in America. The reason they were RUNNING back with the natives was probably because they were serving as local skirmishers, just like the Hawkeye character.

  • man, the Trevor Jones/Randy Edelman music... just spray it all over my face, back... oh yeah.

  • Wasn't the French Army uniform for this stage white and blue instead of blueish grey and blue?
