@TheSamuraiGoomba Exactly. The real problem here is the celibacy rule. They use a certain passage from the Bible to support their doctrine but Paul wasn't even talking about priests or saying everyone should be celibate. What he was saying was, if you can be celibate, good for you, you can focus more on God. I say if a priest can be celibate, good for him. But let them marry, they're only men with natural urges after all. I know some are allowed to be priests after having been married though.

@TheSamuraiGoomba I am fully aware that straight people molest children also. the school, system is full of them. but IN THIS CASE...it has everythign to do with homosexuality. the wikipedia stars are that over 80% are male on male...and the victim ages are young adults. bodys developed enough to entice gay men. the MO of a pedophile isnt to live 24/7 365 days a year with other adult men just to have a few fleeting moments with young flesh. gay men..however would want to live with other males.

@glennjridge Straight people can molest children too. Somebody I am close to was molested by a male priest. She is female. The real problem is the celibacy rule, and these criminal thugs abusing "faith" to cover up their terrible sexual abuses. This has nothing to do with homosexuality, any more than it does to do with heterosexuality.

@glennjridge Saying the church is full of gay men is a fair assessment. The truth is, many priests are prepared from childhood by their parents to become priests & then bullied by a feeling of extreme obligation & fear of not pleasing God to fulfill that expectation. The effects of this cause are constant outbursts of uncontrollable frustration & anger to try to relieve pressure, acting in a similar way to how the tectonic plates do. Many have been forced into celibacy - no wonder they crack.
