@paulioj101 Bro look into raw FRUIT and VEGETABLE diet. It is sooo healthy and sooo effective in losing weight. I dont know how much you weigh, but if you're like 15 percent body fat. Stay on this diet a 100 percent for a month. Exercise of course. If you do this i guarantee you, you will see the best results youve seen in your life

Stop calling this "MANorexia." The prevailing (FALSE) mindset that EDs only effect women is only perpetuated by this.

Most eating disorders comes from people over eating and not from people not eating. Where do they get their facts from. More people are over weight today than every before.
When did being healthy become a disorder? Yes, people exercise to look better, but it makes them healthy too. Yes, they're are men who eat too little, but it is minute to the number of people who eat themselves to death in this country. Remember the media is only telling you one story, its your duty to find the other.

I eat all I want and then just work it out and I don't gain weight, in fact just tone and stay fit.

I'm currently going through exactly the same condition as that dude. My weight isn't dangerously low but my caloric intake is. I'm surviving on under 1000 calories a day. All i'm thinking about is my caloric intake it's making me so depressed. I would love to eat normal food and especially the odd treat now and again. Can anyone give me any advice or help regarding this issue? I feel guilty about eating everything even if it's just an apple because i keep on thinking it will turn to fat quickly!
I am a male and my adolescent period with eating problems came about after my grandfather had died, my parents separated, and I discovered exercise as an outlet for my stress. It turned into excessive exercise and restricted eating. It's still a problem for me but thankfully I'm out of those old ways now...
I know it can't be all vanity and such, I don't even like looking in the mirror! LOL

It's important to highlight the existence of EDs in men, but this documentary focused rather heavily on culture. For many individuals I know with anorexia nervosa, the illness developed after a particularly traumatic period in my lives and became a (self destructive) coping strategy that provided a sense of control over their lives and emotions. Anorexia has unfortunately become synonymous with vanity, narcissism and cultural pressure to achieve a certain look or the 'perfect body'.
