Deaf dancers from Rochester Institute for the Deaf at Rochester Institute of Technology originally performed THRILLER in the Thomas Warfield Dance Concert of 2005. They got together again on Thursday October 28, 2009 at a party celebrating Edgar Allen Poe's 200th anniversary of his birth. At midnight everyone at the party honored the passing of Michael Jackson and celebrated the opening of the movie THIS IS IT with a dance off of THRILLER.
Deaf dancers feel the vibration of the music in the floor and memorize the steps to counts in order to synch with the music. Michael Jackson is a favorite with the community because of his brilliant physicality.
