Breeding for extremes such as seen here ruins what is important. It's not just german shepherds though, not even just dogs either.

These are german german shepherds? If so It makes sense why they look like that. German GSD's are more muscular and rugged. American are more agile and fancy Thats why they look different these are true german GSD's...

i think this type of breeding is hideous and should be banned.

Want to see what a German showline SHOULD look like??? Search "gating german shepherd" and you will see a slow-motion video of a gorgeous past Sieger...from 1983 maybe? Now THAT is what the Germans should be breeding...not these hideous roach- and hinged- backs, short necked, NO reach or follow through monstrosities! Yuck!!

Von Stephanitz is rolling over in his grave. Amen to that! Sad, sad, sad.

@yajairafcuesta the reason people are so appalled and upset with this video has nothing to do with preference towards the American Show line Shepherds some of those are just as awful as the ones here. People are upset because these shepherds have been bred to be somewhat crippled. Their back ends have been weakened so they can look like an exaggeration of a standard. Just so they can be ran in a circle. Breeders are supposed to improve their breed not cripple them.

ya know what horsebreed comes to my mind when I watche these froggy GS-doggies today? Tennesee Walking horse.

marathon runners don't have kinks in their backs though and their human equivalent of the calf muscle doesn't have to push flat to the floor to give them drive.
-
these german shepherds are fantastic they are fitter than a marathon runner

Sorry, I'm crying by seeing this video. They don't walk good. Poor dogs.
