After Friday prayers, Jordanians protested against the Danish cartoons depicting the Prophet Muhammad in the Jordanian capital, Amman on Friday, they called on Hamas to take revenge for the cartoons.

After Jordanians had prayed in King II Abdullah Mosque, they started to march to the European Union offices. The demonstration was organized by Islamic Action Front Party. There were about 5.000 people including women and children. They called on Hamas to revenge because of the cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad. They said that Danish government has a representative in Jordan and claimed that they did not give permission to Hamas leader Khalid Meshaal to living there.

A protestor Muhammed Mahmud said, "We believe this demonstration will be effective. It is very important message for others. They will think if they try to do something like that. Islam World cannot accept any kind of insults to our Prophet Muhammad."
