This is exactly what America needs...a moderate...a center guy....right wing loons don't like Mike, because he is not a mere talking point machine like Palin...but let me tell you if the GOP nominates this guy for 2012, they will win on a landslide....I know tons of independents who supported him and still do...Go Huck!

Fair Tax has gained giant strides since Huckabee brought it to the forefront and many Senators/Congressmen are now getting on board. Huckabee is intuitive, brilliant, courageous and right on track with what this country needs to get going in an upward direction.

what does it matter if the gov't has to pay the 23% sales tax? They are paying it back to themselves! It goes back into the federal budget to be spent again. It's like income tax for federal employees; they are paying their own salaries

^Not sure if you're referring to my comment above, but if you would of read my comment (actually, factual quote) first, you would see that it shows that Huck's record on taxes are terrible as governer of Arkansas! And yes, I agree, the fair tax is way out there and will probably never see the light of day. I am NOT a Huck supporter by any means.

Back -- are you out of your idiot mind? Just restating the position doesnt make it true. Below I expressed several fallacies about the Huck tax. Why dont you pretend to have a brain, and try to refute any. Dont just spew the position again, deal with the arguments against it.

I think it is another scam thought up by scam artists who are wanting the "People" to agree to being ripped off because the truth of the Federal (and state) income tax "laws" (that they are being misapplied since in reality, those so-called "laws" do not apply to most of us) is coming to light, and the lies are being exposed.

"Taxes increased at an average of $15 per person per fiscal year during Huckabee's tenure. The net tax cuts supported by Huckabee from fiscal years 1997 to 2007 totaled $222 million, while net tax increases supported or unopposed by Huckabee totaled $864 million. The net increase in taxes supported by Huckabee equaled $642 million. Net taxes collected in Arkansas rose by more than $3 billion during Huckabee's gubernatorial tenure."

Ysgeye -- I agree, lot of hard things about life, medical cost etc. But what the hell does that have to do with FT? Fair tax is insane - doesnt slow down at stupid -- but what do you think of it?
