THE SCAM RAP
Yo, I loathe you, scammers - thanks to you I see lies
Now I don't trust my own employers or the ATM supplies
You make your living preying on the friendly and the feeble
While you're shredding innocent childhood hopes, destroying innocent people
You're going down, little scammers, with your literary plot
Oh you can wail when you're in jail, but no one else will give a jot
Go on, you earned it. Lesson learned yet? Well then, evidently not
Take a page from Norma Khouri - ditch the story while it's hot
(The Totally Unrepetitive Chorus):
Hey hey yeah, it's a scam
Hey hey yeah, it's a scam, it's a scam, it's a scam
Hey hey yeah, it's a scam
Hey hey yeah, it's a scam, it's a scam, it's a scam
Good day to you, my scammer
Won't you let me talk to you about your horrible grammar
I got your spam in the mailbox trying to sell me fake stocks
But then the S.T.O.X., it just put me right off
No one's charismatic when they're typing like a hacker
Especially if the only word they can spell right is Viagra
Hey, I don't actually want any of the things that you sell
I guess you don't know your consumers very well, do you?
So I'm the ten billionth person to click your link and win a prize
Get real - and take that banner down. The flashes hurt my eyes
You see your stats are out of kilter, so you may as well just can it
The fact is, there aren't ten billion people on the planet
I'm on internet crime, so I'll explain about this letter
Seeking all my banking details just to make my lifestyle better
"Amazing!" I exclaimed, and made a sprint for the phones
To call Consumer Protection about Nigerian clones, that's right
Have you heard of Bernie Madoff and his fabricated payoffs
Eventually detected 'mid financial crisis layoffs
Though he might have lived the higher life for many a year
An extended stay in prison aptly killed his career
Because he bound his supporters to a ponzi scheme
And deprived his people the American dream
He got richer, and bigger, like an overfed kitty
While the people at the bottom started feeling pretty sh*tty, so -
So don't you buy, buy, into the scams
You're gonna cry, cry, you should have known better
Say goodbye, bye, to all your money
That is why, why, why you should never ever
Buy, buy, into the scams
You're gonna cry, cry, you should have known better
Say goodbye, bye, to all your money
That is why, why, why

Unfortunately there were some uploading problems with this video, which meant I had to upload a version far inferior in quality to the original. The quality deteriorated even further once it was uploaded. Sorry about that!
This was my take on a brief for a university project. Almost everything in it is my own work except for the doorbell sound effect (from www.soundsnap.com), the book covers, which are real literary hoaxes, and the photograph of Bernard Madoff, which you will find dozens of hits for on an image search (making it very difficult for me to figure out who to cite for the original). I hope you enjoy the Scam Rap! :)
