@LoafOfPint That kind of humour is what made the original run of Futurama so great as well. The fact that they were willing to throw all continuity out of the window if they could get a good joke out of it.

@Stiletto92 That, and the show has become a bunch of recycled plots mixed in a mass of cultural references. I understand the good Simpsons episodes had cultural references, and they were funny, but the references in the newer episodes reflect the series, trying too hard to be funny and failing miserably.

I used to love The Simpsons, and I generally watch old episodes on television and avoid the new ones like the plague.
