A quick video on how the MiniAk can closely imitate the old hard-house hoovers from the 90's. Not exactly a Roland Alpha Juno but not all that far off I believe.

  • ir was trial and error to get the waveform sounding that way. The rest was done by applying a pitch envelope. The miniak has 3 EG's. A tip is to use an LFO to modulare the waveshape of the tri/saw.

  • Charly says.......I'm the one and only Dominator.

  • What patch on the miniak is that @2:24?

  • I have this exact synthesizer and attempted to do the exact same thing, (for a cover of lady gaga's bad romance that my band did) but it didnt turn out this good. i was wondering if maybe you could share the settings for your patches? that would be really awesome. =]

im particularly interested in the last one.

  • Just got a miniaka and love it? Are the prodigy and dominator sounds presets or have you edited existing presets? Which ones are they?

  • The Prodigy - Charly at 1:46

  • You are da DOMINATOR!!

  • Those are excellent renditions of the hoover sound! I have a MINIAK as well. They're great little synths (an Alesis Micron in better packaging).

  • that last sound, "the one you like" sounds almost like a steve aoki song. totally dig it.
