@mattstatictv There are sex scenes to portray guilt and escaping guilt, desire, domination but above all the overall theme is nature as a chaotic place where the creation of life ultimatively is the creation of death. The womens part is that of the life-giver and life-taker through the act. You get the meaning of the film in one of the first sex acts. That the creation of life also is the creation of death can be seen as anti-christian. Why he named it this way,

This trailer scared me, but when I saw who the actor is, I had to laugh...Willem Dafoe, I remembered How I met your Mother :D
