His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama visited West Tennessee to accept the National Civil Rights Museum's 2009 Freedom Award. He toured the museum and visited the Lorraine Motel section. He stood where Dr. Martin Luther King was standing when he was killed by an assassins bullet.
After the tour, the Dalai Lama held a press conference and talked about Dr. King and the things such as freedom of information, inner peace and religious harmony.
