In the 1921 Phi Beta Sigma Conclave in Atlanta. The Sigmas were Photographed what we know as strolling today with canes.....it was done for style. The Kappas did not show up with canes until the 50s. Later in the 1940s Phi Beta Sigma was Shown in Atlanta again Stepping with Canes. Kappas were eventually came to the south and started the Twirling part. Thats the REAL History.

@ taylaluva, I dont know what your uncle is teaching you but SIGMAS were the first ones with canes PERIOD. Just some knowledge from a real SIGMA!!!!!!

I'm not in a greek but alot of my family is. People love saying Sigma's are biting Kappa's style. That's not true. I will say this. Kappa's were the first to have canes, but Sigma's were the first to step with canes. This is something I was taught by my uncles. Learn about an organization before you diss it.

I'm not a Sigma but I'm a Kaptivating Kane Master. And we don't really see Sigmas twirl where I'm from but that was good. I'm not into beefing over You tube especially over a Kane but still great job.
