Cammy's Comic Corner - Episode 47 (9/19/08)

Very 'meh' week, liked predicted. Fast Five only, and the picks include Action Comics #869 (DC), Atomic Robo: Dogs Of War #2 (Red 5), The Sword #11 (Image), Captain Britain And MI:13 #5 (Marvel), and Scalped #21 (Vertigo).

Quite the variety this week though, so at least that counts for something!

i really enjoyed asm #572 this week... and i enjoyed uncanny x-men #502 a hell of a lot. i also got greatest hits - which is pretty good for a kind of "gimmick" comic...

Did you happen to check-out X:Men First Class #16 this week? It featured Johnny Storm and Bobby Drake, and was a pretty fun read. Those two paired-up could be Marvel's "Blue & Gold" team.

Too bad Action Comics got recalled before it could reach my city due to the "beer" incident :(

First cursing in All-Star Batman & Robin, now beer on the front cover of Superman. What's next, an up-skirt of Wonder Woman? We can only hope.

And I just realized the reason it went jittery a few seconds in the Action Comics segment was because the image that was suppose to scroll, well, didn't. It's too late now, and it'd be a pain to delete and re-upload. It's only a Fast Five this week anyways, nothing special.

Great reviews Cammy as always, did you read War Machine: Weapon of SHIELD? If not, I highly recommend you pick it up if you want, it was so different to any of Marvel's books right now in that it was just all out WAR MACHINE kick ass action! I dont really do it justice here, so pick it up and read it, you'll see what I mean!

Atomic Robo is a cool comic, Im glad you like it!

I did read War Machine, and thought it was pretty cool that the base transformed into a giant War Machine suit.

Now the real question is, is he an Autobot, or an Avenger?

Yeah I recommend starting with the Secret Invasion issues because that's what really hooked me.

Plus, in no way is it a stereotypical Captain Britain with the "Pip pip, wot wot, cheerio!". And bad teeth.
