What becomes of the heavy metals in the oil when consumed by the mushrooms? Do the dispersants used on the oil spill affect the availability of nutrient in the oil for the mushrooms? I understand that the compost is "landscape grade" which might allow for heavy metals to be applied to plant life after the mushroom has completed its process, as long as the plant is not eaten.
