Chapter 14
Nicks P.O.V. History
I walked into class with Veronica and she introduced me to the teacher.
Mrs. Gorssman- Alright take a seat class. Mr. Jonas you can sit over there next to Mr. Lewis.
Nick- who?
Mrs. Gorssman-Mr. Lewis raise your hand

The guy sitting in the back of the room by the windows looked up and raised his hand. The teacher nodded impatiently as I went and tool my seat. The guy nodded at me and I nodded back.
Guy- Hey. Jason Lewis (put his hand out)
Nick- Nick Jonas (shakes it) youre in my Spanish and chemistry class right?
Jason-yeah you stole my lab partner Olivia
Nick- oh Im sorry. I didnt know
Jason- relax. Its cool. Youre lucky. Shes a smart one.
Nick- yeah. Shes pretty cool
Jason- so do those guys follow you everywhere? (Nods to Big Rob and Tom)
Nick- well Big Robs my bodyguard and the other guy Tom is Veronicas
Jason- Veronica has one too?
Nick- yeah so does Olivia
Mrs. Gorssman-Gentlemen! Im sorry to keep you from your male bonding time but I am trying to teach history up here. Would you like to continue this little bromance after school in detention?
Jason/Nick- no mam
Mrs. Gorssman- thats what I thought. Now lets get back to the civil war shall we?

Veronica turned from her seat two rows up and one row over and gave me a disapproving look. Then she and Meghan broke into silent laughter.

Lunchtime
Jason walked with me to the cafeteria, Big Rob following us, and we got our lunches. We were looking for a table when Olivia came and linked arms with the both of us.
Olivia- Hey Jason
Jason- Hey Olivia
Nick- you got a table?
Olivia- yes sir. Come on

She dragged us to a long table by the windows where Veronica and Jake where sitting. Olivia sat next to Jake and I sat next to her. Jason went and sat across from us next to Veronica.
Olivia- so how are your other classes so far Nick?
Nick- theyre good. I have a lot of catching up to do though.
Olivia-oh I can help you get caught up
Nick- thanks
Jason-oh God. I I gotta go
Nick- what? why?
Olivia- (looks over her shoulder) ugh Jason, be a man. All you gotta do is talk to her
Jason- I cant. She probably thinks Im a loser after the homecoming disaster. (Gets up) Ill see you later guys
Veronica- (pushes him back down) get over it already! That was September! (Kaya and Meghan walk up and sit on either side of Jason)
Kaya- what was September? Hey Jason
Jason- uh. Um (Nick kicks him under the table) oww! I mean Hey. (Smiles sheepishly)

As the conversation continued, I turned to Olivia.
Nick- (whispers) whats the homecoming disaster?
Olivia- (whispers) hang on a sec (louder) Nick and me are gonna go get a soda, anyone want anything?
Jake- Ill come too
Olivia- no. stay. What do you want?
Jake-never mind. I just lost my appetite (glares at Nick)

I bit my lip, trying to suppress a smile that was forming. I got up and Olivia linked her arm through mine as we walked to the soda fountain. Big Rob and Ben followed a few strides behind us.
Nick- so
Olivia- Well Kaya was dating Alex Deleon (points to a rocker sitting with his buddies) they had been on and off all summer and they had just broken up for good a week before the dance. I knew Jason had a crush on her; he has since 9th grade, so I told him to ask her to the dance. They ended up going and he told me everything that happened. He said everything he said and how when she saw Alex making out with some girl she just broke out bawling. She ditched him at the dance, the poor guy. She feels really guilty about it but I told her not to bring it up. Hes a really nice guy but Kaya always goes for the Rockstar a-holes who leave her heartbroken. I keep telling her to give him a chance but she says it would be awkward.
Nick- wow. Hey we should get them to hang out
Olivia- What? How?
Nick- Ill tell Jason to come over to do homework with us and youll tell Kaya and then we could all of a sudden have to go upstairs and clean or something and leave them alone for a while and see what happens.
Olivia- thats a great idea Nick! (Hugs him. The bell rings. Jake walks over)
Jake- come on Liv. Ill walk you to class
Olivia- actually Im going to the library for class today but Nicks in your Trig class so you can show him where it is ok? (Kisses his cheek) bye! (Leaves)
Jake- (glares) you think just cuz youre a Rockstar you can swoop in and steal her away?
Nick- (plays dumb) what are you talking about?
Jake- whatever. Its on Jonas
Nick- Bring it Henderson
