This technique is exactly the same way they do it for models, its been around for a long time, the book by scott spencer is fantastic... get it :)

zbrush is still 32 bit, so as long as you have 4 gigs, you're there. Fast quad core or better is very important as zbrush is multi-threaded. I saw a huge performance boost when I upgraded my cpu. I'm betting I'd even see higher gains if I had a 6 core or an 8 core (but I have very little lag with a phenom 945 as it is).

Amazin!!!! but this is maybe off topic. I'm pretty new at ZBrush and work on an Macbook Pro and the performance isn't good. May I ask you about your hardware and your pc's performance?

@bahijd With ZBrush RAM is the most important thing. If you can dd RAM it will definitely power up your ZBrush performance. Multiple processors come in second and video cards have almost no effect on ZBrush's performance.
