I purchased this used Candy Cab MAME cabinet on Ebay for like $150 delivered. I used old computer parts I found laying around the house and built this awesome arcade cabinet with over 3000 arcade games on it. Some come and and lets play some old fun games!! Thanks!

  • you should get rid of the annoying "windows" music tune when the computer loads. Thats what I did for my MAME cab. Put a song or even something like the Galaga theme.

  • That's a good idea, thanks. I'll have to look on how to do that and record something or find something already recorded.

  • a candy cab, with an obvious PC monitor. Shitty European made fighting game marquee and shitty control panel...you know, i'm just going to stop. but jesus christ what the fuck dude.

  • This cab makes baby jesus cry.

  • Duuuuuude! I have no problem with making a MAME cab, but why would you destroy a candy cab to do so?

  • Ugh...

  • In the words of Richard Nixon,

    just terrible.

  • Dude a couple of words of wisdom, theres wireless keyboards/mice, so you dont need that tray. 2. you can map the coin button to the player 1 button in mame. 3.if your not browsing the internet theres no need for antivirus. 4. look into getting a frontend for mame, get rid of that brutal list. Check out my projects for help

  • you ought to be slapped in the fucking face for what you've done here

  • @guyinba I'm not saying to destroy a pac-man cab in great condition for mame. Take one that is no longer working, and the paint faded and fully restore it into a mame cab.

  • @CornerBoy

Hard to come by is not the same as valuable.

Which would you be more likely to see on the Antiques Road show in 40 years, a generic candy cab or an original Pac-Man with the wood in good condition and the artwork not faded out? I'd much rather someone destroy a candy cab for MAME than an original 80s cab.

  • @guyinba These cabs are really hard to come by in america. Candy cabs are a lot easier to handle and maintain. You can find a dead pac-man cab any day and easily mod it to a mame cab. And MOST are made of aluminum. Also a lot of arcade collectors HATE mame cabs.
