Harry Potter - Sorcerer's Stone debug mode

This is a little debug mode tutorial and it shows how to enter the Gryffindor Common Room and the Library in the level "Fluffy" or "The Forbidden Corridor"

How do you turn on debug mode it wont do anything.

@1111holysmokes You have to type in HarryDebugModeOn while in-game during any level, just type it in despite the fact there is nowhere to type it.

how can I bring up the text box

well first, you need to type in ANY TIME during game play even if there is nowhere to see the text: harrydebugmodeon, you will have to type it in once at the start of every startup game for a little while until sometimes it is automatic to turn on. you press the ~ on the keyboard (its next to the 1 on the number row near the top of the keyboard) to bring up the text box for codes. you press ~ again to take it down or the "x" in the corner of the window and "esc" to make the player move again.

@nickylane2295 You speak my thoughts. One of my "hobbies" is studying video games(exploring glitches and cheats) and I'd love to find a way to play as Ron and Snape. Unfortunately the internet only says it's possible, not how to do it...

i found another way to activate debug mode open

username/documents/harry potter

then open HP.ini

do a search for debug it will come up and replace where it says false to true

then it will work

the other way was too hard for me.
