that's kind of interesting since I speak swedish and the way you describe swedish is how danish sounds to me, and how you describe danish is how swedish sounds to me.....maybe it's just 'cause the language you don't speak sounds exotic? :P

I'm from Denmark and I find Swedish very hard to understand. Well, I can read it.. Kinda. Hehe But you swedes always seem to speak so damn fast and as a Dane, I'm used to having this "flat" language. The sounds in Swedish jump up and down. lol

I like the language though and I would love to speak and understand it but I fear it's just a hopeless dream of mine. :P

Anyway, we don't pronounce every single letter in swedish, actually we're jumping and taking shortcuts when we speak (most of us). Take: "Är det inte bra?" for example. It sounds like: "Erente bra?". Quite funny when you think about it! But you're right we DO make one word out of many, but I guess most people who feel comfortable with a language does!

LoL what a funny video. I wonder if Swedish is harder than Spanish to learn? Spanish is a bi&ch to learn if you don't learn it in childhood-like I did. At least, that's what everyone tells me.

Anywho.. I guess we do speak fast as well, but I think I have a hard time with the Swedish language because you guys seem to pronounce every little detail possible. Our language (Danish) is very flat and boring, so you Swedes almost sound like you're singing compared to us. :p

When you're speaking fast, it's hard to hear where one word ends and the next begins.. For me at least. :)
