  • BTW - I agree the end is too fast. It admittedly got away from us. But I don't regret the excitement it generated within the choir...

  • This is a fantastic song. This choir did a great job....how about some facial expression though? You all look like someone just died!

  • hehehe, I'll remember to tell the current incarnation of this choir about your facial comment. Not like they haven't heard it from me before, but perhaps if it came from an "unbiased" party. hehehehe

  • if it's any comfort, I've rarely heard anyone whose version DOESN'T run away like an out of control train. :D

Just wanted to say that I appreciate the way you commented. Would that more people on youtube was as polite.

  • @champcarpadre Nothing to apologize for here. Except that leaky steampipe maybe. . .

  • this is my jam song

  • @Colingraham11 Sadly, it is about someone who is about to die!! Good performance though, despite the racing at the end. See also Pfizerpfonics great performance of this Jonathan Quick arrangement, which I deem to be the best arrangement of Loch Lomond.

  • Ahaha, dancing guy... he's got the music in him :P

This is a great performance, runaway train at the end notwithstanding. This is my favorite arrangement of all time for this song.

  • @Colingraham11 interesting comment. i don't disagree, but the actual back stroy is that it is being sung by a soldier who has been killed (speaking from the grave: the "low road" back to scotland).

as a director i love champs reply that he would like to share the comment from the unbiased party with his choir.

  • Sounded great to me too fast or not too fast!

  • altos need to pay attention to their cue. good sound, but way too fast. oh and the soloist is under the pitch... shape the vowel my friend

  • Beautiful, one of my favorite songs, who is the soloist?!

  • @champcarpadre i dont think its too fast at all. I like it faster than slower

  • i've watched some more professional and polished choirs do this song and you guys put the soul back in the song. I just joined a choir and we're preparing htis for the holidays hope we have as much fun as you guys seemed to have
