I became so fed up with people saying "oh lulz look at dis hear progrum, it makes 8-bit musik, look wat i made gaiz lolololol" that I decided to challenge this hellspawn to a duel! This time we're brawling over a cover of Imakuni's Theme from Pokemon TCG or Pokemon Card GB for, well, the Game Boy. The name who is lit up is the one whose remix is playing.
In this round, in all honesty I think I screwed up the percussion, which in turn put me in danger of losing this round. But it's up to you to decide, loyal fans!
Who wins this round, Me or GSXCC?
Here are some things you don't know:
ADVANTAGES/DISADVANTAGES
Me:
- The song follows NES technical standards: Two pulse/square wave channels, one triangle (bass) channel, and one noise (staticky percussion) channel.
- The lead sounds nicer, IMO. However, the backing doesn't sound too hot, because it had to be split between a triangle and square track, instead of two squares, leading to it sounding weird.
GXSCC:
- It has something like seven tracks, three of which would most accurately be 'translated' as square channels. Both aforementioned facts would break the NES's technical limitations.
- IMO the lead sounds like crap.
- Also at the very end there's a ridiculous amount of polyphony (five notes on both the drums and one of the tracks playing at the same time), which also breaks technical limiitations.
